I am a seeker, learner, but most of all a writer. I received my Masters of Fine Arts in Poetry in May of 2005. I love SARK, Thich Nhat Hanh, Linda Goodman, my best friend, Lauren, and my mother. My heart has opened very big in the past year.

On April 9, 2006, I married myself. I walked out into the woods with my best friend and a bouquet of flowers and promised to love, honor, and cherish mySELF FIRST. Because only when I could stop beating up on myself could I make room for the love of others. It was a beautiful ceremony. I now wear a hematite ring to commemerate it.

I hope, through my poetry, to help people understand their own minds, hearts, and spirits. To embrace their darkness and investigate it. To love themselves.

Currently, I am going through my Saturn Seven Cycle so, as you can imagine, I'm going through quite a lot. But Grandpa Saturn has a lot to teach. I'm learning to take the good with the bad. 

What I would really love to do is be on the staff of a literary magazine and teach children's creative writing. Somehow link writing with spirituality in my own way - much like many of my favorite teachers like Natalie Goldberg have done.

I love making new friends and am told I make a very good one.

update: On November 6, 2006, my beloved mother passed on from cancer. If anyone has any advice on how to handle this monumental grief, please write to me. I feel so alone in handling it and I am having trouble integrating my spiritual beliefs into losing my mother, who was my best friend and best counselor.

2nd update: It is now July 25, 2007. My mother's passing haunts me every day and yet, strangly, I have found blessings from it.  I am writing more, I am studying spirituality more, having learned about Abraham and Jerry and Esther Hicks. I feel more aligned with who I am and I know Mom is watching over me. Visit my blog for more updates!

3rd update: It is now June 22, 2009 - wow, has it really been two years since I've been here? I'm getting married August 29th of this year to a wonderful man, my soul mate, Lee.
